Lozoya Has 25-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, August 15th , 2085 The East Lansing Mighty Gulls stopped the Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts, 3-0, and Omar Lozoya collected a base hit yet again. The East Lansing left fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Lozoya told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Omar Lozoya singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. Lozoya is hitting .378 so far this season with 64 RBIs and 72 runs scored. He has 159 hits including 17 home runs, 40 walks and .431 OBP. |
