Espino Gone for Season in Murfreesboro Saturday, August 4th , 2085 Jose Espino of the Murfreesboro Rifles was injured in today's game against Milwaukee and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn flexor tendon in his elbow, and he is expected to be out for up to 10-11 months. It happened while Espino was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." This season, Espino has worked 23.2 innings with 22 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and a 2.66 ERA. |
