Salt Lake's Toms to Miss Season Friday, April 13th , 2085 The doctors have spoken and Chris Toms of the Salt Lake Stingers didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Toms sustained his season-ending injury during the Glendale Beachcombers game yesterday at Salt Lake City Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Salt Lake medical staff reported Toms had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months. |
