Fernando Ochoa Injured, Out for Season Thursday, August 16th, 2068 The season is ending on a bad note for Fernando Ochoa, reliever for the Hoxie Scots. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Ochoa was hurt against the Mastic Beach Polecats while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 8 months. Ochoa has taken the mound for 18 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 2.59 ERA. The Hoxie reliever has limited opposing batters to a .255 batting average. |
