2085 BC Top Player Trophy Given to Repking Tuesday, September 11th , 2085 Preston Repking of the Newport News Herons proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Beta Conference Outstanding Hitter Award. Repking hit for a .380 average while collecting 126 hits, 27 doubles, no triples, 18 home runs, 72 RBIs and scoring 65 times. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 30. Eric McCasland of the Cincinnati Birds finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Victor Betancur of the Saint Paul Saints finished third with 7 first place votes.
