RSL AA News: Playoffs begin

To win the RSL Double A title is the zenith of any baseball career.
Players on postseason qualifiers will get the chance of a lifetime beginning today with the League Championship, where both heroes and goats will arise, but only one team will emerge as the League Championship champion.
The playoffs are a time for managers to map out pitching and batting matchups and on-the-field strategy. Rivalries soar to new heights and destiny's fickle finger holds the fate of the teams and players. The League Championship begins today with these games:
Ames Lake Jackalopes vs Sudbury Astronauts.

Breaking RSL AA News: Regular Season ends

RSL Double A has put the wraps on another season. In a few days the playoffs will launch in grand style with the league's elite clubs going up against one another for the ultimate payoff -- the League Championship crown. For the baseball fan it doesn't get any better than this -- a time of tense duels, where the outcome of the season hinges on one pitch, one play, one hit -- or one break. There is nothing quite like the playoffs.

Sudbury Secures Top Spot in Beta Conference

Sudbury Astronauts fans have reason to celebrate, their club has won the Beta Conference.
"It feels good to clinch it for our fans," said starting pitcher J.P. Manfredo. "I know there's a lot of expectations on this team and we hope to live up to them."
The division title is the team's 8th. They will now be searching for the franchise's 4th League Championship victory.
"We all hope the best is yet to come," said the team's manager.
