Nielsen Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, August 8th , 2084 It was a sensational day at the plate for Travis Nielsen as he led the charge to a nifty 9-7 win over the Birds. The Honolulu right fielder was pure misery for the Cincinnati pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Nielsen put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Birds, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Travis Nielsen singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Tony Velazquez in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
