Oceanside's Houng to Miss Season
Friday, July 28th , 2084
The doctors have spoken and In-sin Houng of the Oceanside Barnstormers didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Houng sustained his season-ending injury during the Eagle Mountain Scavengers game yesterday at Scavengers Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Oceanside medical staff reported Houng had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months.
So far this season, Houng has chalked up a 5.40 ERA with 1 save. In 5 relief appearances he has registered a 1-2 won-lost record and struck out 17 batters in 23.1 innings, while walking 15. He has allowed teams to hit .305 against him.
