In a powerful performance that left the fans at Mountaineers Ballpark buzzing, Reno Mountaineers right fielder Matt Collins blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 9-5, over the Lamoine Shockwave.
"Everything was clicking," Collins told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Collins shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Mountaineers manager said. "Matt played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Matt Collins hit a two-run home run off Willie Garza in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Willie Garza in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Takenori Kawazoe in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th.
