Injury Sidelines Won-hyung Kim For Year
Sunday, July 9th , 2084
The doctors have spoken and Won-hyung Kim of the Anchorage Longbows didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kim sustained his season-ending injury during the Oceanside Barnstormers game yesterday at Barnstormers Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Anchorage medical staff reported Kim had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.
In 11 starts this year, Kim has posted 1 win while suffering 6 losses. He has pitched 67.2 innings, allowed 85 hits, struck out 64 and has a 5.59 ERA.
