Inuvik Reliever Out Monday, May 27th , 2086 The doctors have spoken and Rafael Magallanes of the Inuvik Muskrats didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Magallanes sustained his season-ending injury during the Newport News Herons game yesterday at Ballpark of The Blues. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Inuvik medical staff reported Magallanes had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. So far this season, Magallanes has picked up no saves in no relief appearances. He has also compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark with a 3.52 ERA and fanned 30 batters in 38.1 innings. |
