Shockwave Manny Lopez Will Miss Season Sunday, April 28th , 2086 The doctors have spoken and Manny Lopez of the Lamoine Shockwave didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lopez sustained his season-ending injury during the Henderson Terrors game yesterday at Shockwave Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Lamoine medical staff reported Lopez had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months. This year, Lopez has pitched 9.2 innings over 5 relief appearances, picking up no saves and held opponents to a .250 average. Lopez has a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA and 5 strikeouts. |
