Febres Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, August 11th , 2085 Ramon Febres ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Ballpark of Saint Paul, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Cincinnati Birds dropped the game, 14-3, to the Saint Paul Saints. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Febres said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Ramon Febres walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dave Guppy in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this year, Febres has 21 home runs and a .251 batting average. |
