Reynolds Cruises to Shutout Victory Friday, August 3rd , 2085 It wasn't easy but the Eagle Mountain Scavengers made it look that way. Starter Lee Reynolds shut out the Aurora Reds despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Eagle Mountain Scavengers cruised to victory, 4-0. Reynolds allowed only 7 hits and rang up 3 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." This season, Reynolds has accumulated no saves, registered a 4.07 ERA and struck out 81 in 130.1 innings. He also has a 6-9 record in no relief appearances. View Boxscore |
