Flores Fires Shutout in Marfa Victory

Victor Flores had an impressive outing at Miami Beach Park, hurling the Marfa Lights to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Worcester Commodores.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Worcester skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Flores yielded 7 hits and tallied 7 strikeouts with no walks.
Running the numbers on Flores for the year, he has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 2-4 won-lost mark with a 3.77 ERA. In pitching 62 innings, he has totaled 54 strikeouts and 23 walks.
