Tampico Bucaneros Mathematically Out of Playoffs Wednesday, July 18th , 2085 The Tampico Bucaneros were certainly not a team of destiny this year and now they have been eliminated from playoff contention. "We thought we had a better chance than this," said starting pitcher Gustaf Kienhuis. "It's a big disappointment." The Bucaneros have made the playoffs 8 times in their 72 years as a RSL Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 33rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2052.
