BC Top Pitcher for June Picked Sunday, July 1st , 2085 Salvador Romero of Newport News had an excellent June with a 4-0 record and was selected as the Pitcher of the Month in the Beta Conference. He finished the month with a 0.84 ERA while piling up 52 strikeouts in 42.2 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .148 batting average. So far this year, Romero has made 16 starts, tossed 108 innings, struck out 127 batters and walked 22. His record is 9-2 with a 1.58 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .169 batting average. |
