Hit Streak Now at 20 for Delgado
Saturday, April 21st , 2085
With 2 hits at Seafarers Ballpark, Edgar Delgado added another game to his hitting streak -- the Binghamton left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Blues, as they fell, 2-1, to the Nevada Seafarers.
"Frankly, I don't care about hits," Nevada manager said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Edgar Delgado struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Weon Kym in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Delgado is batting .490 with 25 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 11 runs and scored 15 times.
