BC Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Friday, September 21st , 2085
2085 was a year to remember for Mark Sanderson.
The San Antonio Texicans starting pitcher was the owner of a 1.99 ERA this season over 68 innings of work. He made 34 relief appearances and had 19 saves, 58 strikeouts, 26 walks and a record of 4 wins and 5 losses.
He's also now got some hardware, as the 28-year-old has been named the Beta Conference Reliever of the Year Award winner.
"It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said.
He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 30. Pete Currier of the Lincoln Traders finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Jacob Johnson of the Oxnard Tigercats finished third with 4 first place votes.
