Johnston 5-for-5 for Red Wings Tuesday, August 10th , 2083 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Nick Johnston is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Anchorage Homesteads at Red Wings Ballpark. The monster effort from the 22-year-old first baseman helped the Saint Petersburg Red Wings get the win, 6-1. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Homesteads manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Nick Johnston singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
