Norfolk, Mendez Snuff Out Roadsters Friday, August 24th , 2085 Jorge Mendez really had his stuff working at Ballpark of Fremont. The Norfolk Thorns hurler mystified the Fremont Roadsters, shutting them out, 6-0. Mendez allowed a total of 4 hits in the ballgame and struck out 8. "The shutout is nice, but I'm just happy we won," Mendez said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose."
