Anchorage's Jefferson Sidelined for Season Thursday, August 5th , 2083 Anchorage Homesteads third baseman Derek Jefferson left yesterday's game against the Anaheim Rage after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament running the bases. Jefferson was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Jefferson is expected to miss 9 months. So far this season, Jefferson is hitting .244 with 19 home runs, 57 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 88 hits in 360 at-bats and a .342 OBP. |
