Postseason Bid Ends for Calgary Saturday, August 19th , 2084 The playoff hopes of the Calgary Cannons have been extinguished for the year. Today, the team was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the 2084 postseason. "It's weird, yesterday we were all talking about what we needed to do to make it to the League Championship and now we're just counting down the days until the offseason, said Cannons starting pitcher Hector Izazaja. The Cannons have missed the playoffs 83 times in their 95 years as a RSL Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 11th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2073. Calgary has won the League Championship 2 times in their history. |
