Joe Wadell Out 11 Months Tuesday, August 1st , 2084 The Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks learned that Joe Wadell is likely to be out for 11 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Chesapeake Rams. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn rotator cuff. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Chugiak-Eagle River manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Joe is back in action." This season, Wadell has 2 wins and 3 losses and a 3.04 ERA. |
