Hialeah's Rosario Out 4 Months Wednesday, July 10th , 2086 The doctors have spoken and Alberto Rosario of the Hialeah Boomers didn't like what he heard. The 28-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rosario sustained his season-ending injury during the Calgary Cannons game yesterday at Hialeah Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hialeah medical staff reported Rosario had a partially torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. This season, Rosario has fashioned a 1-3 mark and 8.58 ERA in 28.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .328 against him and he has logged 16 strikeouts. |
