Saint Petersburg's Woodford Winner, AC Best Hitter in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2084 At only 22 years of age, Kurt Woodford could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Saint Petersburg Red Wings, as July was one to remember for the right fielder and he has captured the Alpha Conference Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .375 with 12 home runs, 27 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year, Woodford is hitting .325 with 27 home runs and 71 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .374 clip and scored 49 runs. |
