Cheon Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, June 30th , 2086 Ju-ho Cheon knows as well as anyone that in baseball, the biggest contracts go to the biggest hitters. At Spinners Ballpark, he made his case to be considered among that group. The 26-year-old third baseman hammered 5 hits in 5 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Guadalajara Charros fell, 7-6, to the Riverside Spinners. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Spinners manager told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Cheon wasn't the difference." Ju-ho Cheon singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eddie Stefano in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This year, Cheon has 3 home runs and a .290 batting average. View Boxscore |
