At Ballpark of Genoa, Alarcon showed how well he learned that lesson. The 27-year-old catcher had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Riverside Spinners, helping his team knock off the Quahog Players by a score of 12-0. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Eliecer Alarcon singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Armando Bonilla in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
