Rivera Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Thursday, July 6th , 2084 Osmel Rivera ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Sun Devil Stadium, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Garland Pigeons dropped the game, 7-2, to the San Bernadino Sun Devils. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Rivera said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Osmel Rivera flied out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Looking at his stats this year, Rivera has compiled a .276 batting average, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 39 runs. He has played in 60 games and scored 33 runs. |
