Santa Ana Halts Davidson's Hitting Steak Monday, June 10th , 2086 The Calgary Cannons lost to the Santa Ana Broncs, 5-1, at Broncs Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Mike Davidson's 23-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Davidson, we would win the game," Broncs manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Currently Davidson is hitting .348 and has collected 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 21 times, while playing in 36 games. |
