Great Stroke: Ramirez Gets 5 Hits
Monday, July 3rd , 2084
Traders first baseman Jerry Ramirez had his way with Chugiak-Eagle River pitching at Cowboys Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Chinooks ruined his great day by toppling the Traders, 6-5.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Chugiak-Eagle River credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Ramirez did today," Chinooks skipper said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Jerry Ramirez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
Currently Ramirez has 13 home runs and a .272 batting average.
