Jia Acclaimed Top Pitcher in June Saturday, July 1st , 2084 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Kai-xi Jia of the Anchorage Homesteads. He captured the Alpha Conference Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in June. Jia started 6 games, threw 41.1 innings, yielded 26 hits and logged a 5-1 record. He put down 39 batters on strikes, walked 14 and compiled a 1.74 ERA. Opposing teams batted .184 against him. This year, Jia has compiled a 9-4 record with a 2.52 ERA. |
