Davidson Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games
Wednesday, June 5th , 2086
Mike Davidson's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Calgary first baseman smacked 2 hits against the Oxnard Tigercats in today's game at Calgary Center, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Cannons drop the game, 3-1.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Mike Davidson grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season, Davidson is batting .347 with 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 121 at-bats, 18 walks and a .430 OBP. Davidson has played in 32 games.
