Gonzales Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, May 15th , 2086 With 2 hits at Charros Ballpark, Freddy Gonzales added another game to his hitting streak -- the Guadalajara third baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Charros, as they fell, 14-10, to the Anaheim Rage. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Anaheim manager said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Freddy Gonzales walked in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. So far this season, Gonzales is hitting .355 with 2 home runs. |
