Dini Strokes 5 Hits Friday, May 10th , 2086 The Anchorage Homesteads stopped the Quahog Players by a score of 9-8 at Homesteads Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Yekuno-Amilak Dini. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Dini said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Dini did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Players. "Not much that I can say," offered Quahog manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Yekuno-Amilak Dini singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. In his season totals, Dini has 2 home runs, .286 BA, .330 OBP, 10 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 25 games. View Boxscore |
