Bad News for Blues, Shibuya Injured Sunday, June 4th , 2084 The season is apparently over for Susumu Shibuya. The Joliet Blues medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 11-12 months with a torn rotator cuff. Shibuya was hurt in the game against Saint Petersburg while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This season, Shibuya has worked 22.1 innings with 15 strikeouts en route to a 1-3 record and a 7.25 ERA. |
