Goodson Cracks 5 Hits Monday, April 22nd , 2086 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Ryan Goodson, it came around today. The 25-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Traders Ballpark to pace the 16-13 Garland Pigeons victory over the Lincoln Traders. Lincoln skipper told reporters in the press room that "Goodson deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Goodson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Ryan Goodson doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. So far this year, Goodson is batting .412 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored. View Boxscore |
