Etheridge Goes 5-for-6 Tuesday, April 16th , 2086 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Chad Etheridge of the Moreno Valley Blaze had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 12-2 win over the Hialeah Boomers at Blaze Ballpark. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Chad Etheridge doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 8th. For the year, Etheridge is batting .440 with 11 hits and no home runs. He has scored 8 times and driven in 3. View Boxscore |
