Roozeboom Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, August 8th , 2085 Olly Roozeboom's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Chula Vista second baseman smacked 6 hits against the Saint Petersburg Red Wings in today's game at Red Wings Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Ghouls drop the game, 11-10. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Olly Roozeboom singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Roozeboom is hitting at a .361 mark this season. His stats show 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played 40 games for the Ghouls. |
