Hit Streak Now at 25 for Salvat Tuesday, August 7th , 2085 Armando Salvat's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Lincoln. The 23-year-old right fielder extended it once again, this time bringing it to 25 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the Garland Pigeons. The Traders won the game, 5-3. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Armando Salvat flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. For the season, Salvat is currently batting .337 with 16 home runs and 55 RBIs. In 101 games he has reached base at a .410 rate and scored 72 runs to date. |
