20 Games in a Row for Niu Monday, August 6th , 2085 Red Wings first baseman Wen-huan Niu has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 3-for-5 in today's game against the Baton Rouge Kings. Saint Petersburg won the ballgame, 7-1. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Wen-huan Niu hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. For the year, Niu has hit at a .381 clip with 23 RBIs, 5 home runs and 18 runs scored. |
