Bransington Hits in 20 Straight Games Wednesday, August 1st , 2085 Larry Bransington continued his streak at Pigeons Ballpark, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Santa Ana left fielder was 2-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Broncs were not as fortunate, losing, 8-3, to the Garland Pigeons. "Bransington was hitting everything we threw at him," said Garland manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Larry Bransington flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. For the season, Bransington is batting .342 with 104 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 56 times and batted in 40. |
