July's Starter of the Month Goes to Muniz Wednesday, August 1st , 2085 Nick Muniz of the Norfolk Thorns outdistanced his peers on the mound this month. He fashioned a fine 4-2 won-lost mark and 1.77 ERA in 7 starts to get the Alpha Conference Pitcher of the Month honors. Muniz had a very impressive July, finishing with 40 strikeouts in 45.2 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .232 average. So far this season, Muniz has compiled a 13-6 record with a 3.10 ERA. |
