Salvat Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Tuesday, July 31st , 2085 Armando Salvat has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 23-year-old Lincoln Traders right fielder extended his streak to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as Lincoln got the best of the Moreno Valley Blaze at Traders Ballpark, 8-4. "Armando has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Traders manager said. Armando Salvat flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. So far this season, Salvat is batting .339 with 15 home runs, 53 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 131 hits in 386 at-bats, 45 walks and a .414 OBP. Salvat has played in 96 games. |
