Season-Ending Injury for Tony Velazquez Saturday, July 21st , 2085 A blow for Tony Velazquez today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 8 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Velazquez suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Wichita Riversharks are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Velazquez's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. So far this season, Velazquez has compiled a 5-8 record with a 5.27 ERA. |
