Alpha Conference Picks Top Player Monday, June 28th , 2083 In the twilight of his career, 35-year-old Lyndon Lance of Chula Vista recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the Alpha Conference Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Lance told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Lance outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 6 home runs, and 11 RBIs to stake his claim to the award. This season, Lance has hit at a .263 clip with 40 RBIs, 17 home runs and 43 runs scored. He has played in 71 games. |
