Great Day for Herman -- 5 Hits Tuesday, July 3rd , 2085 It was a high-five day for Jake Herman, at least for a while. The Huntington Beach shortstop got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Chesapeake Rams, but they were in short supply at the end, as Chesapeake won the game, 8-7. Herman finished with an impressive 5-for-6 line, but the Drummers couldn't hold off the Rams. "Jake was hitting everything," said Drummers manager . "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Jake Herman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
