Pickets End Bogue Streak
Tuesday, April 24th , 2085
The Akron Pickets pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Joe Bogue hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 4-2 victory over the Oxnard Tigercats at Oxnard Fields. The disappointing performance ended a 22-game hitting streak for the left fielder.
"I'm a little down right now," Bogue said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
This year, Bogue is hitting .387 with 29 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 14 runs.
