5-for-5 Day for Diaz
Friday, April 13th , 2085
It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Alex Diaz of the Baton Rouge Kings.
The Baton Rouge right fielder gave it his all and dominated Fremont Roadsters pitching at Ballpark of Fremont, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Roadsters going home the winner, 7-6.
"There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Diaz said. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead."
Alex Diaz hit a two-run home run off Griff Jarram in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Griff Jarram in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Diaz is hitting .320 with 8 hits, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, scored 4 runs and played in 7 games.
