Toronto Shuts Out St. Louis Behind Loera, 8-0 Thursday, August 3rd , 2084 Fisko Loera was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Toronto Juggernauts hurler tossed a 2-hit, complete game shutout against the St. Louis Gaedels. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Loera. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Loera walked 2 and struck out 2 in the 8-0 victory. So far this year, Loera has compiled a 10-9 record with a 3.80 ERA.
